Tony Crosland was a center-left Labour politician and intellectual, most famous in Lolitics fandom for his premature death and David Miliband's deep mourning over the same.

Much of fandom and the meme's treatment of Crosland has naturally tended to deal with David Miliband's distress over his tragic death, more than three decades after it occurred. Ghostfic and crack fics in general have been the response, however, reports of Crosland's real-life bisexuality, including a couple flings with fellow politicians, have also led to a few historical fics in which he is still very much alive.
